Some of the filming for Outlander season 3 took place in South Africa, at Cape Town Film Studios. The set, which had previously been used by Starz for Black Sails was used for some of the later scenes of the season.
Cape Town Film Studios, with a Tropical Island set and Man O’ War, was perfectly suited for many of the sequences set enroute to and in the Caribbean.
